The Pleasure Lake / Specimen 2 Lake
are very well stocked water
suited to anglers of all abilities. The water can be night fished
and has a number of swims close to the car park which are suited to
the elderly or disabled angler. This intimate water has until now
been only lightly fished, but offers some spectacular fishing for a
range of species.
The lake has depths ranging from 2 ½ - 11 foot and it's tree lined
and over grown margins offer some excellent
close range fishing.
There is some excellent Tench fishing sport to be had in the
Pleasure Lake with plenty of fish in the 4lb+ bracket with the
largest around 9lb. The Bream are also growing well in here with the
largest just over 12lb. Perch to over 4lb and Roach to 1 ½ lb
A couple of the larger Carp from the Specimen Lake have also found
their way into this water, with plenty of fish in the 3-20 lb
bracket so you could be surprised! All methods seem to produce on
this lake, trout pellets, sweet corn, maggots and casters all catch
well. New stock to be introduced late December 2006. Approximately
400 more carp ranging from 2 ½ lb to 15 lbs Average size 11lbs. This
will be the ultimate runs water, night and day. The pleasure lake
has now been extended to 4 acres.
